Colophon

My name is David Silva and I’m the co-founder of GSIX Corp, Inc. – a boutique branding and marketing firm based in Los Angeles, CA. Read along for tips on business as well as other bits on tech, social media and design.

The tools

This site was built on a ’08 MacBook Pro and is powered by WordPress. I designed the site using the Starkers Theme framework as the base and used Transmit and Coda (Mac app store) to handle all of the files. Other desktop apps vital to the operation include Notational Velocity, Sparrow (Mac app store) and Photoshop.

To keep up with the site I rely heavily on my iPhone 4 and the Tweetbot, Wunderlist and Simplenote apps (iTunes). I couldn’t get along without these.

Disclosure

I do not publish paid app reviews. All iPhone or Mac app reviews are done solely at my discretion based on whether I like them and how much time I have spent using it. I will, however, use Apple affiliate links when linking directly to an app so please feel free and safe in knowing that you are being led to a legitimate source (iTunes, iBookstore or Mac app store) and helping to sustain this website. RSS Feed Sponsors are not paid reviews and does not mean that I have direct experience in using the service. They are simply sponsors who I believe provide great value to the readers and are meant to inform the reader about the service, not endorse or guarantee it. On occasion I will also use Amazon affiliate links when I believe it is of value to readers.

I appreciate your time and attention for reading this far into my website. My readership is something that I value very much and do not take for granted. I have put allot of thought behind my advertising network of choice (Carbon ads) and affiliates (Apple and Amazon) so I hope that they only add value to the experience.

Advertising and sponsorship information is also available here.
